DAY 1 :
So we finally arrived at my parents house at 3:30am on Thanksgiving morning. The kids were super excited to see Grandma and Grandpa so even though it was really early in the morning and they would normally have been asleep…they were WIDE AWAKE. My mom made them hot coco and they finally settled down to sleep around 5am. It was so nice to see the home I grew up in…it’s has been over a year since the last time I was home, it felt good to be home.
Everyone in PJ’s with Grandpa!
Grandma at Thanksgiving dinner!
DAY 2 :
Tim went to the local University to get some work done on his lap top. Ezra went to work with Grandpa and Mara wanted to put on as much makeup as Grandma… and my mom loves her make up! My mom let her pick a nail polish color for her fingers. I painted them and when she was done she said,”I want to paint my lips…” she had been watching my mom and noticed her red lipstick. So my mom let her pick from a bunch of colors and I put it on her little puckered lips. Mara LOVES makeup. I told my mom that when ever we put her in our room to take a nap she goes through our bathroom to look for anything to put on her lips…the last time it was mascara.
After we got ready for the day Tim arrived and we met my dad and Ezra at Mexican store/ Restaurant and we all ordered food to take back to my dad’s store. my dad said it was fun to see his grand kids running around his store. I could tell he enjoyed having them around.
NAILS…. LIPS…..
“Snack time” for Ella…
Later on that day we drove to the Oakland Temple. We wandered around the Visitors Center looking at the displays, then we watched a movie. It was nice to be there. I honestly felt at peace… I love that feeling. Here are the pictures of our “Temple Trip!”
Day 3:
On Saturday I had scheduled for a photographer to take our Family picture for Christmas cards. He forgot about our appointment and so I took the opportunity to snap shots of my parents and random shots of Tim and the Kids! Okay…keep in mind that my mom is in her 50′s!!! I feel SO lucky to have her genes…too bad I can’t fit in her jeans…yep, you read that right…they lady has had six kids!!! All I can say is “WHAT?????!!!!!!”
