Saturday we had our “Primary Program Practice.” This last September our ward was split. In our newly spilt ward I was called to be Primary President. The HARDEST CALLING I have ever had. I didn’t realize how much the Primary President was over. I’m starting to get real use to the word “DELEGATE,” But I still need to do it more
I love the gals I serve with…everyone gives 100%.
We had the kids bring a sack lunch. After the practice in the chapel we had a picnic on the church lawn. Capri suns were provided for each child. It went really well…I’m glad we ended with lunch. The kids had a good time.
MOVIE NIGHT…
Later on that Saturday after we put the kids down for Bed Tim and I watched “The Pursuit of Happyness.” It was a good movie. I think we both realized just how lucky we were. We realized that we shouldn’t take anything for granted. We are blessed with so much.
I am a “crazy cookie person” Before we started the movie I told Tim that I was craving chocolate chip cookies, so I made a pan. When I was in High school I figured out how to make a really small batch of cookies (about 12) and for some reason they always turn out better than when I follow a recipe.
SUNDAY…. I got up early and made plates of cookies for each of our Primary Classes. I wanted to let them know just how pleased we were with them for all the work they did, and how well the program went on Sunday in front of the their family members and the rest of the congregation. I made snicker doodles and a cute little sign that read: GREAT JOB! THE PRIMARY PROGRAM WAS WONDERFUL, WE HARDLY HEARD ANY “SNICKERS” Love, Your Primary Leaders. The cookies were a hit! I think I am going to make it a tradition as long as I am the Primary President. It didn’t even feel like a huge job once I got started because I really wanted to do something special for the kids.
The best part about the whole day? The kids kept each other busy….Mara walked Ezra all around the house…. They took one of my belts and put it around his waist and walked all over the house. I asked them to stand still for a picture and I noticed Ezra had his tongue out like a dog. You think they want a dog?

Primary President AG? That’s great…It looks like you are doing a great job! Talk to you soon!
We liked that movie too, anything will Will Smith though really….
I’ve never heard of a Saturday practice for the program they always have had ours during Primary the weeks preceeding. Hope it all went well!
Cute idea, Ag! If my kids knew they were getting cookies in church, the’d be to EVERY program practice! I’m sure you’re a great P. Pres.!
You did such a GREAT job, and you still found time to make all those cookies!! You are AMAZING and now we can breath a little…PHEW! Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING, we will miss you sunday:(! P.S. I can’t waite for your seven things about you:):):)!
I can’t believe I forgot! I’m a nut! I was having a boutique at my house and spaced it. You are doing a great job for sure! You’re awesome. Todd was really excitd about the cookies too.

I’m sure you’re great at that calling and it was very sweet of you to make cookies for all the kids.
